Barbie Versace

Barbie comenzó a representar una especie de ente maligno para mujeres que conforme crecíamos, la íbamos relacionando con un estereotipo negativo debido a las ideas erróneas que nos formaba, por ejemplo, con su silueta que no tenía nada que ver con las proporciones reales de nuestro cuerpo. Pero para muchas de nosotras era más que nada un maniquí con el que podíamos soltar la cratividad haciéndole peinados, cambios de vestuario y formándole un ambiente lo más completo posible para que "viviera". Y es algo que sigue siendo divertido e interesante sin importar tu edad, como lo saben los diseñadores que la han homenajeado vistiendola, como en este caso Versace. Este es un vestido que de verdad me cautivó (satisfaciendo también mi obsesión por las miniaturas) por lo que quise representarlo pintándolo en acrílico, para poder tener en mis manos aunque fuera un destello de ese genial juego de drapeados y listones.

Barbie started to represent some sort of evil entity for women who were growing up and starting to relate her with a negative streotype due to the wrong ideas that formed us, like her silohuette that had no relation with the real proportions of our body. But for many of us she was above all a mannequin for being able to release our creativity hairdressing her, arranging her attire and providing her with an ambience as complete as possible to "live". And this is something that remains being fun and interesting no matter your age, as it´s known by designers that have honoured her by dressing her up, like in this case Versace. This is a dress that really captivated me (also satisfying my miniature absession) that´s why I wanted to represent it in acrilic painting, so I could have in my hands at least a sparkle of that dreapery and robbon genius game.
